Description
The Spital Almshouse, now a house, dates back to 1620 with 19th-century alterations. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a pantile roof with a single central stone ridge stack. The building has a two-storey, two-bay front. To the left, there is a doorway with a plain lintel and a plank door. To the right, there are two sliding sash windows, and between them is a plaque inscribed "Deo et Divitibus Ao Dni 1620." On the upper floor, there are two additional sliding sash windows. There is also a late, lower, single-storey 19th-century extension to the left, which has two sliding sash windows.
