Description

Two chest tombs located 2 metres south of the chancel at the Church of St Mary and St Peter, dating from the early to mid-18th century. They are made of limestone ashlar. The tomb to the west is coffin-shaped with a shallow cambered top and features a cherub at the head end. The tomb to the east has a plinth, half-balusters at the corners, and moulded edges on the flat top. The inscriptions on both tombs are illegible. These tombs are included for their group value.
