Description

This is a house dating from around 1875, located on the west side of Market Place in Folkingham. It is constructed of red brick with limestone ashlar dressings, and has a slate roof. The roof features decorative eaves and ashlar detailing around the gable and ridge stacks, with one stack being shared with the adjacent building at No. 31.

The front façade is two storeys high and three bays wide. It has an ashlar plinth, a band running across the first floor, and quoins. The central doorway is framed by ashlar pilasters with a plain entablature above, and it has an overlight and a panelled door. Flanking the doorway are single sash windows on the ground floor, each with margin lights. Above these are three similar sash windows, the window above the door being narrower. All windows have ashlar wedge lintels. The building is included on the heritage list for its contribution to the character of the surrounding area.
