Description

The Town Lock Up, also known as the Port of Guildhall House, is a small rectangular brick building dating from the 19th century. It is a single-storey structure featuring a brick eaves cornice supported by modillions. The roof is slate, and there is a pediment above a round-headed door that has a stone arch and recessed reveals. The door itself is made of plain wood and is complemented by iron-barred radial fanlights. Additionally, there are two small window openings, each with cambered brick arches and stout iron railings.
