Description
Westholme is a mid-19th century building located at 1 Wothorpe Road. It is constructed of coursed rubble with ashlar quoins and coping, and features a Welsh slate roof adorned with crenellated cylindrical Tudor chimneys. The building has two storeys and includes two shallow rectangular two-storey bays beneath a drip mould. A parapet is present, along with a gable that has a fleur-de-lys finial. The top floor has a three-light mullion window, while the ground floor features a six-light window. The basement contains three pointed lights.
On the side, there is a stone porch that houses a four-centred doorway, which is complemented by a six-panel door with sidelights and a rectangular fanlight above. Access is provided by seven stone steps, and iron railings are set on stone walling. At the rear, there is a wing that is set back and has three storeys, featuring three windows—some of which are blocked—double-hung sashes with glazing bars, and a hipped Welsh slate roof with a plain door.
Westholme, along with Nos 1, 3, and Tivoli cottage, forms a group.
