Description

Numbers 8 and 9 on Red Lion Street are early 18th-century buildings that stand two storeys tall with attics. They are rendered and feature a stone slate roof with two gabled dormers that have leaded casements. The upper floor has two windows: one is a double-hung sash with glazing bars set in a moulded flush frame, while the other, to the right, is a sliding sash in a chamfered reveal. The ground floor retains remnants of small 19th-century shop fronts, although there is modern glazing present. Numbers 5 and 7 to 10, which are consecutive, form a group with these buildings.
