Description
The Cedars is a house dating from around 1800, with later alterations from the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared stone with a rendered brick front and features pantile roofs, three gable stacks, and a single ridge stack, two of which are rendered. The building has a plinth, a first floor band, and rebated eaves. It is two storeys high and has a three-window range in an L-plan layout. The central window is a 12-pane sash, flanked by two 16-pane sashes. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door with an overlight, also flanked by 16-pane sashes. The left side of the house has mainly metal framed casements, with two ground floor windows that have segmental heads. Attached to the right side is an unusual wooden cased double water pump. To the left of the house is an attached boundary wall made of coursed squared stone, topped with half-round brick coping, and featuring a plain gateway to the right. The wall is approximately 10 meters long.
