Description

This chest tomb and headstone, located 1 metre south of the chancel at the Church of St Mary and St Peter, dates from the early 18th century. It is made of limestone ashlar and features a narrow coffin-shaped chest with a plinth, panelled sides, and a flat top. At the head end, there is an arch-topped shouldered headstone. The inscriptions on both the chest tomb and headstone are illegible. This structure is included for its group value.
