Description
31 and 33 South Street are a pair of late 18th century cottages built in red brick, featuring a pantile roof and standing two storeys high. Each cottage has three windows with flat arches and hung sashes that include glazing bars. The central doors are modern and set in reeded cases, with a shallow segmental fanlight above that also has glazing bars. Notably, number 31 has an attractive small bow window on the street elevation. These cottages are part of a group that includes numbers 31 to 35 (odd), numbers 32, 34, 34A, 36, the Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul, and the Old Grammar School.
