Description

The pigeoncote at Market Deeping Mill is a late 18th-century structure that has undergone some 20th-century alterations. It is built from coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and features an asbestos sheet roof. The pigeoncote has a pyramidal roof and a wooden flight turret at the ridge. It is two stories tall with a single bay front, which includes a central opening on the ground floor and a four-panel door on the upper level, now accessed by a 20th-century steel staircase. Inside, there are nest boxes and ledges. This building is included in the listing for its group value only.
