Description

These are two late 18th-century brick cottages located on Castlegate. They are three storeys high and have a pantile roof. The cottages originally had seven windows, though three are now blocked. The windows have flush frames and glazing bars, with two original sash windows on the ground floor. A six-panelled door is set within a brick segmental arch, which is topped with a rectangular tripartite fanlight. Scrapers are visible on the facade. Nos. 25 to 32 form a group.
