Description
The Chestnuts Farmhouse is a farmhouse built around 1800, with 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of red brick with painted ashlar dressings and features a pantile mansard roof with stone coped gables. The building has two storeys and an attic, presenting a three-bay front where the lower bay is set back to the right. There is a first-floor band and quoins. The central doorway has a plain doorcase and a deep-set glazed door, flanked by single three-light casements with serpentine heads and raised keystones. Above, there are two three-light casements on either side of a single 20th-century glazing bar casement, all featuring serpentine heads and raised keystones. The roof includes two dormer windows with flat heads and 20th-century casements, while the right bay has a single three-light 20th-century casement and a single dormer with a flat head and 20th-century casement above.
