Description

This is a two-storey building with attics, dating to the mid-18th century and earlier. It is constructed of painted stone, with a stone slate roof featuring one wide, sloped dormer and one small, hipped dormer. The building has a good moulded cornice and a low parapet. It has five windows with moulded surrounds and small keystones, and originally contained no glazing bars. Two 19th-century shop windows, one with glazing bars to number 29, flank a central passage entry. Numbers 14 to 31 (consecutive) and the Public Library form a group.
