Description

This is a milestone located on the west side of Tallington village, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of painted ashlar with a cast iron plate and has a triangular shape. The milestone is inscribed in raised letters with the names "Tallington, Stamford 4" and "Market Deeping 3," along with the maker's name, N. Carr.
