Description

The Pigeoncote in Red House Field is a late 18th-century structure. It is built of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and originally featured a stone-coped roof, which is now missing. The building is single storey with a loft and has a single bay front that includes a central planked door. In the loft gables, there are openings for flight holes. Inside, the pigeoncote contains brick-lined nesting boxes with stone ledges.
