Description
Crooked Billet Cottage is a former public house that has been converted into a cottage. It dates from the early 18th century and has been altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and dressings. It has a thatched roof with a single raised stone-coped gable and two yellow brick gable stacks. The cottage is single storey with attics and has a three-bay front. The central entrance is a planked door, which is covered by a 20th-century gabled wooden porch. On either side of the door are single three-light glazing bar casements. In the roof, there are two similar through-eaves windows with thatched eyebrows.
