Description
Thorn Bell is a house built around 1810, with a porch likely added around 1830. It is constructed of brick and features a hipped slate roof with two brick ridge stacks and deep rebated eaves. The house has two storeys and a three-window range. The windows are in the Gothick style, featuring casements with pointed arched lights set under brick segmental heads. The central window is a two-light design, flanked by three-light windows, all of which have leaded glazing. The central porch has a flat roof and a round arched opening that covers a six-panel door with two glazed panels. On either side of the porch, there are three-light windows with glazing bars. This building is likely one of those constructed by George de Ligne Gregory, Lord of the Manor of Harlaxton, between 1790 and 1820.
