Description
This headstone, located on the south side of the church beside the path and facing east, dates from 1730. It is made of slate and features a rectangular shape with a raised inscription. The top of the stone is adorned with a decorative band, which has some damage and is stylistically carved with angels. The inscription reads: "Here Lyeth the Body of John Pickwell Who Died ) Nov. the 20th 1730 ) His Age 62 Year ) A husband kind a father dear, The same-is he that lyeth here, God gave him time for to repent, And for his sins he did lament."
