Description
Crown Hill Farm is a farmhouse dating from the 18th century, with early 19th century additions and alterations. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a pantile roof with one gable and two hips, along with brick ridge stacks. The building has a T-plan layout, consisting of the original 18th century house and a cross wing added in the 19th century.
The southeast front is two storeys high and has five bays, with the right-hand bay projecting under a hip roof. There is a 19th century off-centre door that is sheltered by a lean-to glazed porch. To the left of the door, there is a large 19th century three-light glazing bar casement window, a 19th century door with a timber porch, and a small fixed light. To the right, there is a single glazing bar sash window with a segmental head and a splayed stone lintel. On the first floor, the advanced wing has a blank window, while to the left are two three-light glazing bar casements with timber lintels and a further two-light Yorkshire sash window with glazing bars.
