Description

Hawthorn Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse constructed of red brick with a slate roof. It features two gable stacks and stands two storeys plus a garret high, comprising three bays. The central doorway has a panelled door topped by a radiating fanlight, and it is flanked by single Doric columns that have guttae and triglyphs, supporting an open pediment. On either side of the doorway are single glazing bar sash windows, with three similar sashes above; the central sash on the upper floor is smaller. All the sash windows are set under cambered arches and have flush wedge brick lintels. There is an outshut at the rear of the building.
