Description

The bridge and sluice gates, which have now been removed, are located at the junction of the New South Eau drain and the North Level drain. They are dated 1833, as indicated by a plaque on the parapet. The structure is primarily made of red brick and features four spans and three cutwaters. It has elliptical arches with raised key blocks, and the parapet is topped with stone coping, along with end and intermediate spur stones. On the west side, there is an opening in the parapet that provides access for a roadway leading to a store and workshop related to the North Level drain.
