Description

A pair of late 18th-century houses and shop, altered in the mid-19th century, located on Church Street, Donington. The buildings are constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with pantile and concrete pantile roofs. The gables are brick-coped, with some tiles tumbled. There are two gable stacks and a single ridge stack.

The two-storey, four-bay front features a half-glazed shop door with a plain surround and hood, flanked by two single-light shop windows. The window to the left also has a blocked doorway. Both shop windows have plain pilasters, fascia, and cornices. A planked door with a plain overlight is flanked by single-light sash windows with segmental brick heads. Above, four margin-light sash windows are set beneath brick dentillated eaves. To the right is a single-storey blank extension with a dentillated eaves course and a brick-coped gable.
