Description

This is a circa 1700 house and shop, located on Market Place, Donington, with alterations carried out in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of red brick, now rendered, with a pantile roof and brick stacks to the rear wall and a single gable. The two-storey, three-bay front features double doors with half-glazed panels and bordered lights to the left, flanked by triple shop windows. All the windows have plain wooden pilasters and a fascia with a cornice. A single plain sash window is present to the right. The first floor has three similar windows. The interior retains two chamfered spine beams with run-out stops.
