Description
This tomb chest, dating from 1629, is located approximately 3 metres south of the church on Weston Main Street. It is made of limestone ashlar and features an inscription on the eastern side that reads: "Here lyeth the Body of Willyam Welles Deseased the 22 of October An. Dom. 1629." The structure is designed as a rectangular chest, with a parallel stone set to form its shape and an overhanging chamfered slab placed on top.
