Description
Stone Cottage is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble, featuring brick and ashlar dressings, and has stone quoins. The roof is covered with concrete tiles and has ashlar coped gables with moulded kneelers. There are two brick stacks at the gables and decorated brick eaves. The central doorway has a six-panel door, with a glazing bar sash window to the right and a 19th-century three-light casement window to the left. Above the doorway, there is a central glazing bar sash window, with another glazing bar sash to the right and a 19th-century three-light casement to the left, all set beneath wooden lintels. The upper openings feature segmental brick heads. This building is included for its group value only.
