Description

Nos 57 and 59 on Eastgate are early 19th-century buildings that stand two storeys tall and are constructed of brick. No. 59 features a Welsh slate roof, while No. 57 has modern cement pantiles. The façade of No. 57 includes two windows that are hung sashes with glazing bars and stone lintels. In contrast, No. 59 has one window with a stone lintel and two ground floor windows, also hung sashes with glazing bars and stone lintels. Both buildings have wood Tuscan doorcases. To the left, there is a narrow round-arched passage entry. The doorway of No. 59 is adorned with a rectangular fanlight. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 43 to 65 (odd) and Nos 1-6 (consecutive) Kingston Terrace.
