Description
The farm buildings at Church Farm, dating from the early 19th century and altered in the 20th century, consist of stables, loose boxes, and waggon hovels. They are constructed of red brick in English garden wall bond of three, with some coursed limestone rubble, and feature hipped and gabled pantiled roofs. The single-storey range has 12 bays, with an attached two-storey stable block to the right that has six irregular bays and a dentillated eaves course. To the left, there are eight waggon hovels supported by brick and timber piers with wooden lintels. The right side includes a planked door flanked by louvered openings and another opening to the left. The stable block features two planked doors, three hinged lights, and a fixed glazing bar light, with all openings having segmental brick heads. The first floor has a pair of two-light plain casements at the eaves. To the right, there is a flight of ashlar steps with a wooden handrail leading to the granary above. This building is included for its group value.
