Description
Osbournby Butcher is a house and attached shop dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with painted stone dressings and features a 20th-century concrete tile roof along with two brick gable stacks, one of which has been reduced. The east front has a central doorway that includes a 20th-century glazed door and overlight, surrounded by painted pilasters and a flat hood. On either side of the doorway are single margin light sash windows with painted lintels. Above, there are three similar windows also featuring painted lintels. The south gable front facing the street has a shop front on the ground floor, which includes a central part-glazed four-panel door with a glazed overlight, flanked by large bow windows with glazing bars. This entire section is enclosed within a pilaster surround topped by a projecting flat hood.
