Description
The Baptist Church is a chapel built in the late 18th century, with early 19th-century additions. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped slate roof with deeply overhanging eaves. The front of the building includes an added single-storey wing that has two glazing bar sash windows with segment heads and panelled shutters, set within brick recesses. Above this wing is a tall lateral brick chimney stack.
On the east front of the added wing, there is a central door with a margin light overlight, flanked by single glazing bar sash windows. Below, there are a pair of Gothic arched boot scrapers. To the north is the main chapel, which has four bays defined by brick pilaster strips. The first and second bays feature gabled brick porches, each with pilaster strips and a single round-headed glazing bar window. Between the porches is a tall, round-headed glazing bar sash window, with an additional single glazing bar sash to the right. Above these, there are three similar windows. The interior has not been inspected.
