Description

Nos 55 and 57 on Southgate are 18th-century buildings that stand three stories tall, constructed from red brick with a pantile roof. The buildings feature a central chimney stack and an additional stack on the right side. There are three windows with rendered lintels, flush frames, and hung sashes that include glazing bars, although some have been replaced. The ground floor has modern shop fronts and an iron sign bracket. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 51 to 67 (odd), along with No 53A.
