Description
The Grapes Public House is an 18th-century building located on the east side of Southgate. It is three storeys high, constructed from red brick, and features a pantile roof with a stack on the left gable. The façade includes three full-height arcades with round heads, each containing a window without glazing bars. The first-floor windows have segmental arches with brick voussoirs. The ground floor has been rebuilt, likely in the late 19th century. There is a passage to the right with head corbels in the yard. The Grapes Public House is part of a group that includes Nos 51 to 67 (odd) and No 53A.
