Description

The inner east gateway to Bishop's Palace in Lincoln is an early 19th-century structure made of ashlar stone. It features a coved string course and a crenellated parapet. The gateway has a chamfered four-centred arch with a hoodmould above it. To the west, there is a single flanking buttress. The gateway is completed with a pair of wrought-iron gates.
