Description

The close wall to the south and west of The Deanery in Lincoln dates back to 1285, with significant alterations made in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed from coursed rubble, dressed stone, and brick, topped with concrete and brick copings. The wall consists of two sections, standing approximately 3 meters and 4 meters high, and stretches about 75 meters in length. It is also designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
