Description

The stable block, now part of St Mary's School, was built in the early 19th century and altered in the late 20th century. It stands within the grounds of Number 5 Pottergate, Lincoln. The building is constructed of brick with stone dressings and has a hipped slate roof topped with a ridge stack. The two-storey, two-bay north front incorporates a blocked doorway flanked by round-headed casement windows to the right. To the left of the doorway is a carriage arch with a segmental head and a pair of doors, next to a blocked doorway with a wooden lintel. Above, two round-headed casement windows are visible. The interior of the stable block has not been inspected.
