Description
Greetwell Cottage is a late 18th-century cottage that incorporates part of a 17th-century house. It is constructed of coursed rubble, with a brick front, and has gabled and hipped pantile roofing. The cottage features an external stone gable stack to the east, along with single brick gable and side wall stacks.
The two-storey-plus-attic cottage has a single bay on the north front, which contains a triple sash window within a wooden surround and cornice. Above this, a glazing bar sash window, and above that, a segment-headed dormer window. The west side, facing Winnowsty Lane, has a six-panel door with an overlight, both segment-headed. To the left of the door is a glazing bar sash window, and above it, a glazing bar sash window with a wooden lintel. To the right is a margin light sash window with a segmental head. The interior of the cottage has not been inspected.
