Description

Hanson's Windmill is a 19th-century towermill built in 1855, constructed of tarred red brick with a corrugated roof featuring moulded eaves. The structure stands five storeys tall. The east side has a doorway with a cambered head and double plank doors, with two window openings above it, arranged one above the other. The south and north sides each have three window openings, also arranged one above the other, while the west side has two window openings in a similar vertical arrangement. All windows have segmental heads. Most of the machinery was removed in 1964 and relocated to Brixton Mill in London, although some remains of the flour dresser can still be found inside.
