Description
The stable block to Hainton Hall, built around 1807 and possibly designed by Peter Atkinson, features colourwashed rendering with colourwashed, rendered ashlar dressings. It has low flanking hipped slate roofs and a higher slate roof with stone coped gables. The building is two storeys high and has an 11-bay front. The central bay is pedimented and decorated with a greyhound motif, while five central bays project slightly and are flanked by single giant order pilasters.
The central doorway has a segmental head and double plank doors, with an ashlar string course at shoulder level on either side. There are two flanking doorways with segmentally headed double plank doors. To the right, there are three doorways with flat heads and plank doors, and to the left, there are three doorways as well, with the central one having a plank door and the others being blocked. The central square glazing bar sash is flanked by two square glazing bar sashes on each side, and there are three lunettes above the three lower bays on both the left and right sides.
