Description

Abbey Lodge Inn is a public house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of colourwashed brick in an English garden wall bond of three and features a hipped pantile roof with a single brick stack at the ridge. The building is two stories high with a three-bay front, which includes a facetted dentillated eaves cornice. The central entrance is a 20th-century door with a plain overlight, flanked by single glazing bar sash windows. On the first floor, there are three 20th-century glazing bar casements. All openings have chamfered brick surrounds, and the windows are fitted with panelled shutters. To the right of the door, there is a York stone mounting block with three steps.
