Description
This is a Grade II listed table tomb, located approximately 2 meters to the east of the church in Scrivelsby, and was erected in 1884 for Emma Dymoke. The tomb is made of white marble and features eight columns with spiralled flutings and crocket capitals that support eight semi-circular arches adorned with foliate and geometric patterns in the spandrels. A beaded band runs around the top, which rises to a shallow point. Beneath the table tomb is a plain marble tomb, which is surrounded by the columns and topped with a simple cross. The tomb is enclosed by iron railings that include eight barley sugar twisted columns with ball finials, as well as studs and stars, and features sixteen hooked, arrow-headed bars.
