Description

No.11, Spridgeons, is an 18th-century house and shop that was altered in the early 19th century and again in the late 19th century. It is built of colourwashed brick with stucco dressings and has a pantile roof. The two-storey, three-bay front has a recessed half-glazed door positioned off-centre, flanked by large, plain shop windows. The shop windows have top cast iron ventilators and mullions, with an angled fascia supported by wooden panelled pilasters with fluted brackets. To the right is a glazing bar sash and a 20th-century door. On the first floor are three glazing bar sashes, each with a rusticated stucco lintel and key block. The building is included on the list solely for its group value.
