Description

No. 16 Banks Street is a house with a former shop, dating to the late 18th century, with later 20th-century alterations. The building is constructed of colourwashed brick and has a slate roof with stone-coped gables and gable stacks. It is two storeys high. The front has two bays. A doorway is situated on the right-hand side, featuring a pilastered doorcase, a cornice, an overlight, and a panelled door. A shallow bowed shop window is positioned to the left, featuring triple glazing bars, slender pilasters, and a bowed entablature. Two 20th-century casement windows are located above, each with a wedge lintel.
