Description
Westfield Farmhouse is a cottage dating from the early 18th century, with alterations and extensions made in the 19th century. The building features a mud and stud construction, partly underbuilt in brick, and is rendered with a pantile roof and an axial ridge stack. It has a lobby entry plan and an L-shaped layout, with a rear range added in the 19th century. The farmhouse is single storey plus a garret and has a three-bay front. The central planked door is flanked by single glazing bar sashes with segmental heads. The rear range is constructed of brick and includes a gable chimney and a catslide lean-to that houses a dairy. Inside, the farmhouse retains a beam with narrow run-out stops, along with bay posts, tie beams, and braces. There are planked doors and a staircase located beside the chimney. In the rear range, a ladder provides access to the loft.
