Description

The Forge is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century, with some minor alterations from the mid 19th century and 20th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a pantile roof with brick coped partly tumbled gables and two gable stacks. The building is two storeys high with a garret and has a three-bay front. It displays a dogtooth eaves course and a central 20th-century half-glazed door, which is flanked by plain sash windows. On the first floor, there are three similar windows, all of which have segmental brick heads.
