Description

No. 17 Northgate is an 18th-century brick house that stands two storeys tall. It features a steep pantile roof with a dentil eaves cornice. The façade has five windows arranged in a 2-1-2 pattern, with a very shallow central projection. There is a stringcourse between the storeys and a slight plinth at the base. The windows are hung sashes set in wide wooden cases, with segmental-arched heads, plain cills, and marginal glazing. The entrance has a simple doorway with a segmental head and a late panelled door, along with a scraper.
