Description

Garden House is an entrance archway and trap house with accommodation for grooms, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with ashlar dressings and features a pantile roof with a single ridge stack. The building is single storey with attics and has a three-bay front. The central feature is a rusticated basket arch that includes impost and key blocks, with ashlar reveals. To the left, there is a sliding glazing bar sash window under a stone lintel, and to the right, a smaller rusticated ashlar archway with double planked doors leading to the trap house. The roof is adorned with three glazing bar sliding sash dormers that have shaped bargeboards and rendered cheeks.
