Description

This is a milestone from the early 19th century, located near the junction with Fenhouses Drove on the north side of Boston Road in Swineshead. It is made of painted ashlar and has a square plan with a pyramidal top. The milestone is inscribed with the distances to Boston, which is 5 miles away, and Sleaford, which is 13 miles away.
