Description

Chestnut Farmhouse is a cottage dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a pantile roof with brick coped gables and two brick gable stacks. The building has an L-plan layout and is a single storey with attics, presenting a three-bay front that includes brick dentillated eaves. The central entrance consists of a two-panel door with an overlight, flanked by plain sash windows. The roof features two gabled dormer windows with glazing bars, brick cheeks, and boarded heads. Above the door, there is a fire insurance plaque. At the rear, there is a four-bay service range with two doors and two glazing bar sash windows. All openings are topped with brick segmental arches.
