Description

Willington House is a house dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, with a slate roof and two brick gable stacks. The two-storey plus attic house has a five-bay front arranged in a 2:1:2 configuration. The ground floor features a plinth with ashlar coping, a first floor band, and a central 19th-century door with an overlight, wooden pilasters, a narrow lead hood on scrolled brackets. Flanking the door are single, canted bay windows with wooden pilasters, moulded cornices, and flat lead roofs. The first floor has five margin-light sash windows, each with a cambered brick head.
