Description

The Peacock is a public house built in the mid-18th century, with alterations from the 19th and 20th centuries. It features red brick in Flemish bond, with the ground floor colorwashed and a concrete tiled roof topped by two gable stacks. The building is two stories high and has a five-bay front arranged in a 2:1:2 pattern, with a band at the first floor level. The central entrance is a 20th-century door with a plain overlight, flanked by pairs of plain sash windows. The first floor has five similar windows. All openings are topped with segmental rubbed brick heads that include key blocks.
