Description
The Methodist Church is a chapel built around 1830, with alterations made around 1890. It is constructed of red brick in English bond, featuring blue brick coping on a later plinth, and has a hipped slate roof with deeply overhanging eaves. The building is two storeys high and has a three-bay front, which includes a later 19th-century porch with a parapet. The central entrance consists of double doors topped by a radiating fanlight and a semi-circular arch with a keystone, flanked by single semi-circular headed lights. Above the entrance, there is a single semi-circular headed window, accompanied by two similar blocked openings, all featuring impost blocks. Each side of the church has three tall fixed double margin light windows adorned with coloured glass, and above these are blank semi-circular headed openings. At the rear, there is a school room with a pent roof.
